Have to admit,,, the word 'surly' has probably been used in conjunction with me on many occasion!! Probably alot lately if you are talking to my direct reports!! Unfortunately for them ,, they don't know that the bad mood is because I can't wait to get out, and not because they have totally screwed something up (really I don't let them believe for long that it's them)!!!
I have been working at improving the overall 'tone',, slowly it's getting better.... I guess I should be happy that I have a job considering the current state of the economy; but let's face it,,, The way the big dogs in CA are running the business into the ground, how long will I be able to say that? Are you aware of the shamefully small payout people are eligible for with Unemployment Insurance??? Thank God for savings accounts!
In terms of an update regarding the latest job interview,,, Bad news,,, The job ended up just being a supervisory job,, at a huge pay cut,,, not an option right now.... Good news,, the recruiter was really impressed with my resume/interview (let's just face it,, me in general.. :p ) so she gave me her direct number, and some info about job titles to keep an eye out for on their site... So another contact to add to the list. So, I'll just keep on looking and assume the right thing will come along at the right time...
