I posted for a random job with one of the major southern banks the other night... And they called me today to set up an interview, tomorrow at 10:30!
Low points, it's in Charlotte, NC,, so I could potentially have the same issue as FL in trying to sell the house,,, except I did indicate I would expect relocation $$ up front,, also,,, it's evening hours,,, as in 4:00pm until..... It would be the department that processes all the banking center/atm transactions, so work doesn't start comining in until mid-afternoon...
High points,, It would be a position similar to what I have now,,, managing managers, once again for a new department; which obviously has it's plus' and minus'... it's evening hours,,, as in 4:00pm until ... Those of you that know me well, know that 8:00 just about kills me,, and I really don't become fully functional until about 10:00 anyway,,,(sound like a rationalization?). I had to list current salary and minimum $$ required, and up'd the one so minimum would be my current [not really lying if you include benefits etc :) ]Banking center transactions is something I am very familiar with, so it can't be that bad..
The hiring manager wanted to do a face to face this afternoon, but recruiting had to explain that it would be about a two hour drive,, so phone interview to start...
So we'll see how it goes,, if nothing else it's good practice!!

1 Friend(s) had this to say...:
Good luck with the phone interview.
Not to long ago I was searching for a job. I just hate the whole process. There are like weddings if you been to one, you know what to expect.(lol) Each one is just alittle different. One might be formal one might be casual.I hope you find something.
:) miss ya!!! tammy
